Visual step-by-step application guide

- Valid passport or national ID (clear scan/photo)
- Recent passport-style photo (white background, JPG/PNG, max 2 MB)
- Letter of assignment from your media organisation
- Your media house/outlet name & emergency contact details
- All uploads must be PDF, JPG or PNG — under 5 MB each
Select your category
- Click on the “Media & Broadcast” card — it will highlight with a brand-coloured border and a checkmark.
- Click “Continue” to proceed to the next step.
Enter personal information
- Upload your passport photo — click the upload area and select a passport-style photo (white background, frontal face).
- Fill in all fields marked with * — enter your name, date of birth, gender, nationality, and passport number.
- Select your role from the dropdown (e.g. Print/Online Reporter, Photographer, Broadcast Journalist).
- Enter your media house name and contact details.
- Provide an emergency contact name and phone number.
- Click “Continue” when all required fields are complete.

- Click “Upload” next to each document to select the file from your device.
- Upload the two required documents: your passport/ID and passport-style photo.
- Optional documents can be uploaded now or provided later.
- Once uploaded, each item will show a green “✓ Uploaded” status.
- Click “Review Application” to proceed.
Review & submit
- Carefully review all your information — category, personal details, and documents.
- If anything is wrong, click “Back” to return and correct it.
- Read the declaration statement.
- Tick the checkbox to confirm your information is accurate.
- Click “Submit application”.
- You will see a confirmation with your reference number (e.g. ACC-2026-XXXXX). Save this number!
After submission
- Review: Your application is reviewed by the Accreditation Committee.
- Notifications: You receive email updates at each stage of the review.
- Badge production: Once approved, your badge is produced with your photo, category colour, zone access, and QR code.
- Collection:Collect your badge from the Accreditation Centre at the venue. Bring your original ID and reference number.
Application statuses
| PENDING | Application submitted and awaiting review. |
| APPROVED | Approved — your badge will be produced. |
| REJECTED | Rejected. You can appeal within 5 working days by email. |
| RETURNED | Returned for corrections. Update the required fields and re-submit. |
Track your application anytime by visiting fasigms.africa, scrolling to the “Track Your Application” section and entering your reference number (ACC-2026-XXXXX) or registered email address.
- Media applicants apply directly through the portal — no National Federation registration is needed.
- Rejected applications can be appealed within 5 working days by emailing the accreditation office with additional documentation.
- Providing false information may result in revocation of accreditation.
- All accreditation decisions are final.
